Gentleman’s Lounge

K.A. Murphy Interiors transformed the exclusive, private member lounge at Barclay Rex– one of New York City’s iconic cigar shops. Once a purely functional space, it now exudes timeless luxury, complementing the curated pipe shop below. Inspired by the shop’s legacy, the design features lush green furniture set against black brick walls, captivating photographs from a local gallery, sculptural statement furniture, and a layout that offers the perfect balance of communal comfort and indulgent solitude. The result is a chic, swanky space that feels as distinguished as Barclay Rex’s long-standing clientele.
