Colonial Revival
In 2015, Principal Designer Kevie Murphy transformed a 1940 center-hall Colonial into a vibrant oasis for her family of six. Honoring the original footprint of the house, she took it down to the studs, updated the systems and started fresh. A cohesive and vibrant design emerged, anchored by key elements such as a whimsical foyer wallpaper that set the tone for the first-floor color palette. Structural updates, including a modernized conservatory with a raised ceiling and light-filled coffered dome, brought a sense of openness and understated drama. The result is a stunning family sanctuary where layered colors create a joyful atmosphere, continually inspiring Kevie’s distinctive design approach.
